A professional career is within reach
- Start where you are. A diploma after 10th can lead to a B.Tech through lateral entry; a nursing assistant can become a registered nurse; an accounts assistant can study for CA.
- Government colleges first. Entrance exams such as JEE, NEET, CLAT and CAT open low-fee government seats. Prepare early.
- Fund it without despair. Check the National Scholarship Portal every year, and ask us about sponsors.
- Skills beat certificates alone. Projects, internships and good English matter as much as marks.
Working abroad as a professional
- Doctors, nurses, pharmacists and engineers usually need the destination country’s licence or registration exam.
- Some countries need a language level — for example, German at B2 for nurses in Germany.
- Get your degrees attested and keep originals safe.
- Use only licensed recruiters (check eMigrate) and never pay large fees for a job.
How we chose these professions
We used recent evidence: Naukri JobSpeak (September 2026), reports on India’s global capability centres (July 2026), the World Economic Forum Future of Jobs Report 2025, TeamLease’s 2026–27 outlook, the Union Budget 2026-27, health-workforce reports, and studies of Gulf and European demand.
Hiring moves quickly — Naukri’s data for September 2026 also showed IT services, education and hospitality hiring falling. We review this page regularly; before committing years and money, talk to people already in the profession.
